Remove diacritics

Remove selected Arabic or Latin diacritics with independent options and compare the preview with the original.

Each input: 128 KiB, 65,536 UTF-16 units and 5,000 lines; 256 KiB combined. Full output plus parts: at most 512 KiB, with 5,000 lines in the full text and each part, and 100 parts; 5-second deadline. Output converts CR/CRLF into LF. The original remains in the field.

This selection controls comparison, letter case and cluster boundaries; it does not change the site interface language.

The Latin option removes marks only from clusters that begin with a Latin letter; Hindi-starting clusters and emoji components remain. The mixed cluster aि becomes a, while कि remains unchanged. Compare the original and result previews; removal is not spell-checking or transliteration.

How to use

Paste text and choose the mark groups to remove. Process, compare the original and result previews, then copy or download the reviewed result.

Try an example

Arabic removal alone changes السَّلَامُ Café to السلام Café; enabling Latin removal too gives السلام Cafe.

Support & limits

The Arabic option removes a defined set of vowel and recitation marks while preserving hamza and madda. The Latin option removes decomposed marks only from clusters beginning with a Latin letter; non-Latin-starting clusters and emoji components remain. The mixed cluster aि becomes a, while कि remains unchanged. No transliteration is performed, and the original stays in the input field.

Common questions

Can removing marks change words or their meaning?

Removal can erase meaningful linguistic distinctions; the tool applies your choice without spell-checking. Review the comparison and retain the original when needed.
