Number PDF pages

Add sequential numbers to selected pages with a starting number, position and font size.

One unencrypted PDF, up to 50 MiB and 200 pages. Local processing has a 15-second deadline per stage; existing parser budgets still apply. The original stays unchanged.

Adds a text overlay without flattening pages. Fields and links are retained within the current PDF engine support; XFA and unsupported structures are rejected. Digital signatures are not guaranteed after editing. Review the output document.

For example 1,3-5; selection order is preserved. Numbering starts at your chosen number in selection order.

How to use

Choose a PDF and the pages to number. Set the starting number, position, font size and opacity, then process, download a new PDF and review the numbers.

Try an example

Selecting 3,1 with a starting number of 7 places 7 on page three and 8 on page one, without changing page order.

Support & limits

Numbers use Latin digits 0–9. Position is relative to the visible crop area after page rotation. No new margin is added, so existing content may be covered. Nonstandard UserUnit pages and geometry too small for the text are rejected.
