CSV editor
Edit CSV cells, filter and sort rows, add rows, then choose export columns and optional cleaning while retaining the original table.
How to use
Paste CSV or choose a file, set the delimiter and header option, then load the table. Edit cells and leave each cell to commit the change. Filter, sort or add rows. Select at least one export column; all are selected initially. Enable only the cleaning options you want, then generate CSV and review the change counts before downloading.
In a name, score table, change Ahmad’s score from 17 to 18, filter for Ahmad, then export only that edited row and the header.
Support & limits
The preview shows 20 rows per page; export includes every matching row in view order. Cleaning is off by default and affects only the export copy: trim surrounding Unicode whitespace, including line breaks and BOM, from data cells without changing headers; then remove rows whose cells are all empty; then remove exact, case-sensitive duplicate rows, keeping the first. Comparisons include every column before export columns are selected, so selected values can repeat when other columns differ. Cleaning leaves headers and the editable table unchanged. Sorting is textual and filtering is case-insensitive literal matching. Adding a row resets filtering and sorting. There is no automatic storage or change to the source file; export runs in a cancellable worker with a 5-second deadline.
Common questions
Does download include rows hidden by the filter?
No. The export action explicitly generates CSV from the current view across every preview page. Clear the filter to export all rows. CSV output quotes every cell and uses CRLF plus a BOM. Formula-like cells, including headers, receive an apostrophe prefix by default; this deliberately changes their text. Select literal export to preserve exact cell values, bearing in mind that spreadsheet programs may interpret them as formulas. No whitespace or row cleaning runs automatically, and leading zeroes are not converted to numbers.
