QR image reader

Read a QR code in a local image as plain text without automatically opening links.

Each stage has an 8-second deadline. Cancellation prevents publishing the result and terminates the worker; native image decoding or PNG encoding may continue until the browser finishes, with no overlapping native operation allowed.

Still JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MiB and 4 megapixels. Results are plain text; links never open automatically.

Reads numeric, standard alphanumeric and UTF-8 byte text, with or without ECI 26. Kanji, other ECI encodings and binary data are unsupported.

Choose a code image and process it. Review the decoded text and download TXT if needed.

Support & limits

No camera or image upload is used. Blurred or multiple codes may not read as expected; the tool returns one code.
