Filter lines

Include or exclude lines containing literal text, with an explicit case-sensitivity policy.

Each input: 128 KiB, 65,536 UTF-16 units and 5,000 lines; 256 KiB combined. Full output plus parts: at most 512 KiB, with 5,000 lines in the full text and each part, and 100 parts; 5-second deadline. Output converts CR/CRLF into LF. The original remains in the field.

This selection controls comparison, letter case and cluster boundaries; it does not change the site interface language.

Literal containment, not regular expressions; retained lines keep their order and spelling. Queries have at most 256 text units and cannot be empty.

How to use

Paste lines and enter a query. Select inclusion or exclusion, case sensitivity and the text language. Process, then copy or download the retained lines.

Try an example

For cat, dog and catfish, including cat returns cat then catfish; excluding it returns dog. Symbols such as .* are searched literally.

Support & limits

Matching is literal containment, not regular expressions; output retains line order and spelling. Case-insensitive matching uses the chosen language; Turkish distinguishes I from İ. In include mode, no matches produces valid empty text. In exclude mode, no matches keeps every line; matching every line produces valid empty text. Only CR/CRLF line endings are normalized to LF.

Common questions

Does the output change letter case?

No; case conversion is used only for comparison and retained lines keep their original spelling.
